In 1993 when Nisha Bhate broke into the financial services industry as a trader’s assistant, her superiors were still handwriting trades. Now a VP of technology at JP Morgan, this Queens native revels, in what she calls her “quasi-role,” that translates between the business minds and the techie ones. “Every area needs great technologists,’ says Bhate, who considers “being open to trying new things” critical to her success. “We take a business person’s vision and make it happen.”
